Jae H. Shim

Marguerite is a third-generation Calgarian, and the seventh of eight children born in her family. Following a 12-year stint in the Northwest and Yukon Territories, Marguerite returned to her hometown to study History at the University of Calgary, and received her B.A. with distinction in 1991. She remained at the University, and immediately enrolled in Law, graduating in 1993, and receiving the Vallance Prize for Excellence in Family Law. That same year, she articled with Heather L. McKay at Lamoureux Hill McKay in Calgary. In August of 1994, Marguerite was admitted to the Alberta Bar.
