Emmanuel Oyesomi

Emmanuel Oyesomi is an Associate Lawyer at Gittens, de Beer & Associates, practicing in the areas of Civil Litigation and Canadian Immigration Law. Emmanuel advises and represents individuals in plaintiffs’ personal injury claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, sexual abuse, and medical malpractice. He also has specialized “nuts and bolts” knowledge in Canadian Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Law, providing advice and representation for businesses and individuals in navigating complex immigration issues. Emmanuel’s past experience includes a busy and thriving practice abroad in one of the biggest cities in Africa. Licensed to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in Nigeria, Emmanuel advised individuals and corporate bodies, representing them at different levels of Court including the Federal Court and Court of Appeal. Emmanuel is a Board Director of Newfoundland and Labrador Sexual Assault Crisis and Prevention Centre (now End Sexual Violence NL). He is currently pursuing a Professional LLM at the Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto concentrating on Constitutional and Business Law. He was called to the Bar in Newfoundland, Canada in 2024.
