Michael graduated from McGill University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Jewish Studies and Management. There, he received several academic awards and recognitions, including induction into the Golden Key academic honour society. As part of his undergraduate program, Michael participated in a student exchange at the University of Sydney, Australia. Michael was also a visiting graduate student in Judaic Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has furthered his knowledge of French at the Université de Montréal, Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), and Glendon Campus at York University. While in law school, Michael participated in a variety of initiatives, including volunteering at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill and with Pro Bono Students of Canada (PBSC) Wills Project. He also interned at the National Centre for Law, Ageing, and Policy, also known as the Elder Law Clinic. In 2017, Michael was the inaugural recipient of a joint student prize awarded by the Lord Reading Law Society and Ministère de la Justice du Québec in recognition of the student who best promotes and advances the objects of the Lord Reading Law Society and the mission of the Ministère de la Justice (Québec), including promotion of access to justice and human rights. In 2019 Michael received his call to the Law Society of Ontario. He then completed a term as a Foreign Law Clerk to Justice Daphne Barak-Erez at the Supreme Court of Israel. Upon his return to Canada in 2020, Michael rejoined Campbell Cohen. In 2022, Michael joined Kalman Samuels.
