Mike Grassie

Mike joined Cuming & Gillespie LLP in 2016, following the completion of his articles and working as an associate at a Calgary insurance defence law firm.  His transition from Defence Counsel to Plaintiff’s Counsel in personal injury actions gives him added insight into the insurance industry and Defence Counsel tactics. Mike obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2015.  During law school, Mike volunteered with Student Legal Assistance and was awarded Dean’s List status.   Mike also had the opportunity to complete a semester of law school on an academic exchange program, at the University of Amsterdam. Mike’s practice focuses on personal injury claims, arising out of motor vehicle accident claims, slip and falls, or other more unique situations.  He is also involved in medical malpractice and professional negligence claims.  Mike has experience appearing in the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta and the Provincial Court of Alberta.
