Tobias F. McDonald, Q.C. Partner

Toby McDonald obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1975 and has been practicing law in St. John’s since his call to the Bar in Newfoundland the subsequent year. He is a Queen’s Counsel and a recipient of the Law Society’s Gordon M. Stirling Distinguished Service Award. He is invested in the Order of Newfoundland and has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws Degree by Memorial University. He is a former Director of the Law Society. Although Toby’s practice has been quite diverse over the years, he currently focuses primarily on real estate, estate planning and probate/administration of estates. Throughout his legal career, Toby has also been an enthusiastic community volunteer, particularly in youth oriented organizations.
