Jeff Levy is the managing partner at and co-founder of Levy Zavet PC, Lawyers. Mr. Levy is an experienced Ontario-based lawyer practicing primarily in the areas of property law, including complex real estate transactions, private mortgages and syndication, title matters, land assembly and development, such as condominiums and multi-use projects. Jeff Levy routinely practices in complex corporate transactions and commercial finance, including acquisitions, joint ventures, securities law, mortgage investment corporations, marijuana and cannabis regulations, and cryptocurrency. Jeff plays a strong role in serving as a trusted adviser to businesses of all sizes including corporations and family-owned or private businesses, providing overall oversight, regulatory, strategic and succession planning. Mr. Levy has represented companies doing business in many different areas including mortgage investment corporations (MICs), mortgage funds, mortgage brokerages and administrators from all provinces wanting to extend loans in Ontario. Jeff works with many MICs, mortgage lenders, including private lenders, and lenders of all kinds from nearly every province in Canada, including British Columbia (BC), Manitoba, Alberta, and the maritime provinces. Jeff Levy is extremely experienced in drafting complicated mortgage loan agreements and structuring multi-collateral, diverse payments and elaborate recovery provisions in every unique situation. His long history of experience in mortgage enforcement, power of sale, and foreclosures, has given him the knowledge to foretell viable exit strategies at the loan origination stage of almost every single mortgage deal.
