Barbara J. Leiter Partner co-owner

She is based in Montreal, Quebec and specializes in Canadian and American immigration law. Prior to her entrance in the judicial world, she attended the Eastern School of music in Rochester, N.Y. and then obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX). After a first career as professional musician and a second one in the field of real estate, she earned her L.L.B. and B.C.L. from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, in May of 1989. During her studies, her academic success was as important as her social and extracurricular involvement. She was a member of the Editorial Board of the McGill Law Journal, worked at the McGill Legal Aid Clinic and was a member of the Students’ Judiciary Committee.
