Andrew M. Fortis

Andrew Fortis is a founding Partner of Hummingbird Lawyers LLP. He is responsible for the Firm’s Real Estate and Business Law groups. After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from York University, Andrew obtained his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University’s Law School in 1999 and was called to the New York State Bar that same year. After completing his U.S. law degree and New York licence, he returned to Canada and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. Andrew’s practice consists of all aspects of real estate, from assisting first-time buyers purchasing their first home to complex title matters involving easements and adverse possession claims. He regularly acts on commercial transactions including the purchase, sale and refinancing of buildings, commercial leases, and land assemblies.
