Alisa P. Williams

Ms. Williams is an experienced litigator concentrating specifically on family and child protection matters. Ms. Williams is a dedicated advocate who is extremely knowledgeable in family law issues and enjoys difficult cases. As part of her extensive family law practice, Ms. Williams represented children as an agent on the panel of lawyers from the Office of the Children’s Lawyer for almost 11 years. Ms. Williams is respected for her strong and effective court presence, as well as for her compassion and understanding that she shows her clients. Ms. Williams was called to the bar in 1999, after obtaining her LL.B. from the University of Alberta in 1997, where she received the law program’s Beltzberg Entrance Scholarship. Prior to this, she had earned an Honours B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Gerontology from McMaster University in Hamilton, graduating second in her class and summa cum laude. Ms. Williams has dealt with many cases of a wide variety. This includes appearing at the Court of Appeal of Ontario and Saskatchewan. Her experience also spans to Nova Scotia.
